TTI History

TTI is the world’s leading passive and connector specialist and ranks fifth in global electronic distribution sales and sixth in North America electronic distribution. Paul Andrews founded TTI in 1971 on the premise that passive purchasing could be made more efficient by offering superior specialized customer-driven service. His company philosophy was to solve passive component problems quickly via a support team with exceptional product knowledge that provided order accuracy and on-time delivery with an attitude of “doing what you say you’re going to do.”

From its modest beginning, TTI has steadily grown into its current 270,000-square-foot corporate office and passive operations facility. Because of TTI’s rapidly expanding connector volume and value-added business, in 2005 a new 200,000-square-foot warehouse and connector assembly and modification center facility was built in Fort Worth, Texas, to replace the old 54,000-square-foot facility. TTI’s third corporate facility houses military sales and logistical support, the Global Select and Plus Divisions, and TTI’s sales operations training group.

TTI added branch locations throughout the major markets in the United States and Canada to provide local service to customers in more than 30 North American markets. Today the company serves customers that span all OEM market segments. TTI’s Plus division, its catalog division (Mouser Electronics) and the international offices allow the company to reach a larger and more diverse customer base in North America. TTI’s Latin American sales office serves the growing Central and South American markets, aided by corporate warehouses in Guadalajara and Reynosa, Mexico.

TTI continues to rapidly expand its global presence in Europe by adding more than 20 sales locations in the European sector. To accommodate TTI’s rapid European growth, a new 165,000-square-foot multi-level distribution center was opened in Maisach-Gernlinden near Munich, Germany, in mid-2005. With its commitment to provide global service as the world’s leading passive and connector specialist, TTI expanded its Asia facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China. The expanded warehouse facilities in Asia now total more than 70,000 square feet.
